Privacy Policy
Last updated: 11 August 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how FMAppy ("FMAppy", "we", "us", or "our") collects, uses, shares, and protects your information when you use the FMAppy mobile application and website (together, the "App").
FMAppy is a marketplace that connects customers who need facilities-management services with service providers who offer them. This policy applies to both customers and service providers.
If you do not agree with this policy, please do not use the App.
1. Information We Collect
1.1 Information you give us
Account information. When you register, we collect your first name, last name, email address, mobile phone number, and the company or business name you enter. Your password is stored only in an encrypted (hashed) form and is never visible to us.
Sign-in with Google. If you choose to sign in using your Google account instead of a password, Google shares a limited set of information with us: your name, your email address, your Google profile picture, and a unique Google account identifier. We never receive your Google password, and we do not gain access to your Gmail, Google Drive, Google Contacts, or any other Google service. We use this information only to identify your FMAppy account and sign you in. You can disconnect FMAppy from your Google account at any time from your Google Account permissions page.
Profile information. You may add a profile photograph, the service categories you work in, the city you operate in, and, if you are a service provider, images of your previous work.
Service request information. When a customer posts a request, we collect a description of the work required, the service category, the budget range selected, the service address you type in, and any photographs or documents you attach.
Quotation and order information. When a service provider responds to a request, we collect the quoted price and any quotation document uploaded. When a customer hires a provider, we collect any purchase order document the customer attaches.
Messages. Messages exchanged between customers and service providers through the in-app chat are stored on our servers so that both parties can see the conversation history. We do not read your messages routinely. We may access them where it is necessary to investigate a report of abuse or fraud, to resolve a dispute between users, to enforce our Terms and Conditions, or where we are required to do so by law. We also use automated checks to detect messages that share contact details in order to take dealings outside the App, which our Terms do not permit.
Ratings and reviews. Ratings and written reviews you submit about a service provider, together with your first name, are stored and displayed publicly on that provider's profile.
1.2 Information collected automatically
Device and technical information. We collect your device model, operating system version, and IP address. This is used to deliver the App correctly on your device, to diagnose faults, and to protect against abuse.
Push notification token. If you allow notifications, we store the notification token issued to your device by Google Firebase Cloud Messaging so that we can send you alerts about your requests, quotations, orders, and messages.
1.3 Information we do NOT collect
To be explicit about this, the App does not collect any of the following:
• Your contacts. The App does not request or access your address book or contact list, and we do not use contact information for marketing.
• Your precise or GPS location. The App does not access your device's location services. Any address or city associated with a service request is text you type or select yourself.
• Payment or financial information. Subscriptions in the App are provided free of charge and no payment details are requested or processed. Payment for services arranged through the App is settled directly between the customer and the service provider, outside the App.
• Advertising identifiers. The App contains no advertising and no advertising or tracking software.
2. How We Use Your Information
• To create and secure your account – including verifying that you control the mobile number you registered with.
• To operate the marketplace – to show your service request to relevant service providers, to show provider profiles and quotations to customers, and to manage orders.
• To enable communication – so customers and service providers can message each other about a job.
• To send service notifications – alerts about new quotations, order status changes, and new messages.
• To display reputation information – ratings and reviews shown on provider profiles.
• To support you – to respond to enquiries and resolve disputes.
• To maintain and improve the App – to diagnose faults, monitor reliability, and improve features.
• To keep the App safe and lawful – to detect and prevent fraud, abuse, and misuse, and to comply with legal obligations.
We do not use your personal information to serve advertising, and we do not sell or rent your personal information to anyone.
3. How We Share Your Information
3.1 With other users of the App. The App only works if certain information is visible to the other party in a job. Specifically:
• When a customer posts a service request, the request details, attached images, budget range, and service address are visible to service providers in the relevant category.
• When a customer hires a service provider, each party can see the other's name, and the service address needed to carry out the work. Customers and service providers communicate through the App's in-app chat; we do not disclose your email address or mobile number to the other party.
• A service provider's profile, portfolio images, ratings, and reviews are visible to other users within the App.
3.2 With service suppliers who work on our behalf. We use a small number of third-party providers to run the App. They may process your data only on our instructions and only to provide their service to us:
• Google Firebase Authentication – verifies your mobile number by SMS one-time password. Your phone number is processed by Google for this purpose.
• Google Sign-In (Google LLC) – if you choose to sign in with your Google account, Google authenticates you and confirms your identity to us. Google's own handling of your data is governed by the Google Privacy Policy. Signing in with Google is entirely optional; you can always use a mobile number and password instead.
• Google Firebase Cloud Messaging – delivers push notifications to your device.
• Our hosting provider – stores the App's database and uploaded files on secure servers.
We do not share your information with any third party for their own purposes, and none of these suppliers is permitted to use your data for advertising.
3.3 For legal reasons. We may disclose information if we are required to do so by law, by a court, or by a competent authority, or where disclosure is necessary to protect the rights, safety, or property of FMAppy, our users, or the public.
3.4 We never sell your data. We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to third parties for their own marketing purposes.
4. International Transfers
Our service suppliers, including Google, may process and store data on servers located outside your country of residence. Where this happens, we take reasonable steps to ensure your information continues to be protected to the standard described in this policy.
5. How Long We Keep Your Information
• While your account is active – we keep your account and activity data for as long as your account remains open.
• After you delete your account – your profile, service requests, quotations, uploaded images and documents, and chat messages are deleted from our live systems within 30 days.
• Backups – residual copies may remain in encrypted backups for up to 90 days after deletion, after which they are overwritten.
• Records we must keep – where we are required by law to retain certain records, or where information is needed to resolve an open dispute or to prevent fraud, we retain only the minimum necessary, for no longer than 12 months unless a longer period is required by law.
6. Deleting Your Account and Your Data
You can delete your account and its associated data at any time from within the App:
Menu → Delete Account
You will be asked to confirm. Deletion is permanent and cannot be undone. Full details of what is deleted and what is retained are set out on our Account Deletion page.
If you cannot access the App, you can request deletion by emailing fmappyservices@gmail.com from the email address registered to your account. We will action the request within 30 days.
7. Your Rights
Subject to applicable law, you may:
• Access the personal information we hold about you.
• Correct inaccurate information – most profile details can be edited directly in the App.
• Delete your account and data, as described in section 6.
• Object to or restrict certain processing.
• Withdraw consent where processing is based on consent – for example, by turning off notification permission in your device settings.
To exercise any of these rights, contact us at fmappyservices@gmail.com. We will respond within 30 days.
8. Permissions the App Requests
• Photos and media – so you can attach images to a service request, set a profile picture, or upload portfolio images. Used only when you choose to attach a file.
• Notifications – so we can alert you about quotations, orders, and messages. The App works without this permission; you will simply not receive alerts.
• Internet and network access – required for the App to communicate with our servers.
You can change or withdraw any of these permissions at any time in your device settings.
9. Security
We take the security of your information seriously. All communication between the App and our servers is encrypted in transit using HTTPS/TLS. Passwords are stored using a one-way cryptographic hash and cannot be read by us or by anyone with access to the database. Access to production data is restricted to the small number of people who need it to operate the service.
No system can be guaranteed completely secure. If we become aware of a breach affecting your personal information, we will notify you and the relevant authorities as required by law.
10. Children's Privacy
The App is not directed at children and is not intended for anyone under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us at fmappyservices@gmail.com and we will delete it promptly.
11. Cookies
The FMAppy mobile application does not use cookies. Our website uses only the strictly necessary cookies required for the site to function, such as maintaining your session. We do not use advertising or third-party tracking cookies.
12. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page shows when it was last revised. If we make a material change, we will notify you through the App or by email before the change takes effect. Continuing to use the App after a change takes effect means you accept the revised policy.
